Describe briefly the Cloud technology used in your platform

Sonal - Webscale is a software-as-a-service that can be deployed in any cloud environment, typically a public cloud provider like AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure. We manage mid-size and large E-commerce brands in the cloud through our data plane, which sits between the application and the internet, managing and protecting traffic accessing the E-commerce storefront. Our control plane monitors everything that comes through the data plane, and sends commands to perform tasks such as predictive auto-scaling in the event of a surge in traffic, self-healing of faulty servers, distributing load across servers to maintain performance, and much more. In essence, we are the single pane of glass for all technology needs for a merchant of any size --B2B or B2C, mid-market or enterprise, on any e-commerce platform worldwide.

How is this technology helpful to the regular E-Commerce platforms?

Sonal - In summary, we are a one-stop shop for all E-commerce infrastructure needs for any brand. We are the 'Shopify' equivalent for the enterprise and B2B segment that have custom demands of site functionality, security, performance and availability and the all-in-one solutions just do not work for them.

These companies want to compete with the likes of Amazon, Walmart and FlipKart, but they do not have the technical resource or the DevSecOps talent to get them there, and their sites are too complex to fit into a predefined environment like Shopify.

What is the geographical reach of this platform so far?

Sonal - A large part of our customer base is US businesses both mid-size and enterprise, but we have large customers in 12 countries, including India, UK, Australia, Canada and South Africa and have eight Fortune 1000 customers. We can deliver services today in 75 cloud locations worldwide and we support all public cloud providers.
