What is the importance of cloud migration in the present?

The "cloud migration" has received much attention lately compared to earlier. Back in the day, having an on-premises infrastructure in place to store data and applications on-site required a significant CAPEX investment. However, a wide range of industries uses cloud technology and its applications. With each passing year, many businesses are adopting them into their operations.

Whether organic or through mergers and acquisitions, technology is more vital than ever for business expansion. Cloud-based companies can integrate new acquisitions more quickly into their current platforms. In addition, the auto-scaling capability and flexible data management services allow them to scale up and down in response to demand. With recent improvements in cloud computing, leaders can digitize even more features, such as CRM, SAP, and data analytics. Compared to their contemporaries, businesses that switch away from old systems can boost productivity and innovation and create new revenue streams. Cloud migration also opens many possibilities for leveraging innovative technologies.

What role are data analytics and cloud computing has played during the pandemic?

The fight was intense. We were all up against a virus that was spreading at an unimaginable rate. Combating COVID-19 relies heavily on data analytics. The ability to trace an outbreak and model data to forecast consequences is vital in this situation. Analytics can easily do that. In addition, data analytics has helped researchers find vaccines. It allows for a deeper understanding of COVID-19, such as identifying sensitive populations based on historical variables or tracking their spread using data. AI-powered data analytics advances helped us use data more efficiently during the pandemic.

During the COVID-19 crisis, cloud computing helped facilitate collaboration, communication, and critical internet services. Since the COVID-19 pandemic has forced people to work from home, they must collaborate and communicate online. Consequently, cloud computing addresses the challenge of working from home without compromising the quality. Moreover, cloud computing technology enables remarkable healthcare services under lockdown conditions, and digital transformation made a significant impact.

What were the top industry challenges brought forth by the pandemic?

As the impact of the coronavirus outbreak on economies around the world became apparent, most of the economic activities went digital. This new way of life sparked existing trends such as working and shopping from home and at-home entertainment. As a result, some industries have experienced success, while others have suffered significant losses. The travel & restaurant industry was one of the most affected during the pandemic. Social-distancing policies and stay-at-home orders upset many people's travel & dine-in plans.

Even before the pandemic, energy was an unloved sector. Oil and gas demand dried up when stay-at-home orders went into effect. Many people are no longer commuting to work, and business and leisure travel has declined significantly. The other two industries in the top five most impacted industries, Auto Parts & Equipment and Leisure Facilities, both showed similar trends. In these areas, enterprises may not be able to fully grasp how to position their products and services until the epidemic is over. The survival of these industries will be dependent on their ability to adapt and change.

What are the key trends to look out for in 2022 apart from the cloud?

With the rapid adoption of digital technology, a range of digital services has become increasingly popular.

  1. Cryptocurrency will gain momentum - Read it again, because cryptocurrency, like it or not, will start getting accepted across the world. The bitcoin industry is doing well. According to predictions, cryptocurrency will be more widely accepted as a payment method by 2022.
  2. Extended Reality - Rather than bulky headsets that require Wi-Fi connections, we will see new, lighter, more portable VR devices in 2022 that will be more like glasses that connect to our phones and offer better VR experiences at any time.
  3. Quantum Computing - Quantum computing can provide computing power a trillion times greater than what today's fastest supercomputers can offer. By 2022, quantum computers could revolutionize how we manage logistics, portfolios, and develop medications.
  4. 3D Printing - 3D printing is expected to transform manufacturing in 2022, including mass-produced bespoke components, concrete for buildings, printed food, metal, and composite materials.
  5. AI is the new global order - There are a lot of new developments coming, including metaverses, AI cyber-security, autonomous cars, and much more. Installing a chatbot on your e-commerce website is a simple step toward being AI-friendly.

How has the digital transformation shaped for PreludeSys in the past few years?

In recent years, digital transformation has been sweeping the world. Businesses and industries that have previously avoided adopting modern technologies now embrace their digital transformations and need to find creative ways to work. Interestingly enough, many experts believe these dramatic changes are just the beginning. We identified two significant ways that digitally-driven initiatives can help organizations flourish eventually. In the first place, we promote resilience, defined by the ability to thrive despite uncertainty and change. The second way to encourage differentiation is to provide value not available anywhere else.

With our Digital Transformation (DX) services, we helped businesses adopt innovative technology to serve their consumers better. DX encompasses the processes, culture, technologies, and experiences that define the commercial value of reaching the right customers at the right time and is more than typical customer interaction channels such as marketing and advertising. Executives at PreludeSys believe there will be more changes in the coming five years than there were in the previous years. The rate of change will accelerate as firms become more transparent and willing to make the changes needed to remain competitive. Adopting digital transformation saves businesses time and money while also creating new revenue streams. A DX-centric approach to technology and service models is productive and scalable.

How do you see the growth of PreludeSys?

PreludeSys journey started in 1998. Like any other IT Services provider, our initial focus was on offering custom application development and testing on Microsoft technologies. The late 1990s was all about open-source Java technologies and the Internet (WWW). The next ten years for PreludeSys was all about embracing and offering proprietary and open-source custom development, testing, maintenance, and website development projects focusing on the Microsoft and Java technologies. As we marched on, we expanded our capabilities by offering ERP implementation services.

As an IT services organization, our service offerings followed the trajectory of technology. Our entry into Mobile App Development, Cloud happened as we aligned ourselves with emerging trends. It was during this time, we recognized the need for partnerships and alliances with the likes of Microsoft SAP, and Salesforce to offer best in class solutions to our prospects and customers. We partnered with Salesforce in 2012 and have significantly expanded our expertise, experience, and offerings on Software as a Service technology.
