F-Secure acquisition of nSense to bolster company expansion

F-Secure has announced its acquisition with nSense, Danish-based company providing security consultations, vulnerability assessment services and related products to large enterprises. The acquisition is expected to strengthen F-Secure’s position as a prominent security vendor in Europe, and lays the foundation for the company’s growth as a cyber security leader in the region.

nSense provides protection services to financial institutions, service providers and other large enterprises, and F-Secure’s acquisition of the company will add these services to its own security solutions. “Information security threats are becoming more stealthy, sophisticated and complex, and we need to be able to provide services that help our customers prevent potential threats from becoming security incidents,” said F-Secure CEO Christian Fredrikson. He further added that nSense’s expertise would help develop new cyber security products.

The acquisition unites two companies recognized as innovators and trusted advisors in cyber security.

F-Secure’s technology is implemented across F-Secure solutions that serve businesses all over the world. nSense’s vulnerability scanning solution, named Karhu, is actively used in leading financial institutions, service providers and other large enterprises.
