Gandhidham Dealers form association

Gandhidham: In order to lend credibility to the IT channel business and getting an association to understand the customers' needs and problems, IT dealers in Gandhidham have formed Gandhidham IT Association (GITA).

This five-month old association is one of its kind and is slowly finding its way in Gandhidham. It has Sandeep Gombar as the President, Virendra Jadeja as VP, Secretary as Satish Awatramani and Brijesh Thakkar in the Advisory Committee.

Giving the reason for forming new association Sandeep Gombar, President, said, “The business in the region is slow and is facing with some issues like credit issue with the customers and corporate clients. Service issues has also been a regular complaint among the dealers as well. We wanted to talk to the customers and the dealers collectively on this matter. Thus we formed GITA to reach out to their problems in a better way.”

Talking about the credit issue, Gombhar also said that sometimes the customers keep on extending the payments for more than two months as compared to the corporate clients which takes three months. Considering the attitude of the people in Gandhidham he believes that this association will allow them to deal with the credit issues pertaining in the IT market.

As of now the association has listed 90 members and is planning to involve more dealers in their team.

The association also decided to conduct a meeting and concentrate on the activities and events to be held in the forthcoming months. GITA is also planning to hold a IT Trade Fair in January and is working on the strategies for the same.

“Trade Fair will be the first event held in Gandhidham as there is no other association here. We plan to make the people aware about the new products in the IT market through this event”, added Brijesh Thakkar, Member, Advisory Committee.

Marketing for the newly formed association has already been started by the members. Currently the members are concentrating on advertisements in the newspapers, Press Releases and invitees.
