Ghaziabad association to hold 'Computer Carnival'

Ghaziabad Computer Association will organize a trade fair this month. The
event will be known as 'Computer Carnival' and will be held in the latter part
of the month.

Elaborating further, Arun Kakkar, President, Ghaziabad Computer Association
said, "We are currently in the initial stage of planning the event and will
be inviting some of the major vendors to participate in the fair."

Gopal Sharma, Secretary, Ghaziabad Computer Association stated, "This is
the first time we are organizing the fair and we want to ensure that all the
dealer members show active interest and participation in the event. The fair
will go a long way in ensuring that our customers not only get to buy the best
of the products but also education through demonstrations."

This apart, in order to better understand the implications of value added tax
(VAT) on their businesses the association recently invited senior tax officials
from Commercial Tax Department of Ghaziabad to help understand the legalities of
the move. The invited guests included, Kamlesh Prakash Bhatt, RK Jain, BL Singh,
JB Singh and SK Gange.

Talking about this initiative, Kakkar stated, "In order to understand
the implications of VAT on our bill books and the complexities involved in Form
49, a form that is part of VAT, we had invited the tax officials who helped us
understand the legalities involved in the same."

Kakkar also added that the exercise helped them understand the entire
procedure of filling and filing the form to a great extent.

Besides, the association also made efforts in ensuring that one of their
dealer members, Pioneer Computer gets permission to open an exclusive store of
Lenovo in Ghaziabad.

Speaking about the same, Vivek Goyal, CEO, Pioneer Computers said, "From
the past four months we were making efforts to open Lenovo's exclusive store in
Ghaziabad and finally did it. We have been selling the brand for two years now
and will be showcasing the entire range of Lenovo's products in the store.
Within three months we will also provide after-sales services to our
customers."
