Gigabyte launches mobo for Athlon 64 processor

Digi Giga Systems has launched the first AMD-certified motherboard - GA-K8VT800M, supporting the Athlon 64 processor. The company claims that the GA-K8VT800M delivers a cost effective platform and brings new levels of performance and features to the desktop systems.

The new Athlon 64 processor is furnished with a framework consisting of AMD's 64-bit computing platform, HyperTransport Technology and the CPU-integrated memory controller to boost the overall performance. 

The motherboard also features AGP 8x (AGP 3.0), the new generation VGA interface specification, Ethernet 10/100Mb LAN Network connection, Serial ATA with RAID 0, 1 function and 6-Channel Audio with Jack Sensing Support. Norton Internet Security is also included. 

Digi Giga Systems is offering this motherboard (GA-K8VT800M) through Tech Pacific India Ltd at an approximate street price of Rs 5,199.
