Gigabyte has come out with its latest motherboard–GA-8S650GXM–featured for P4-based computers. It has been designed and certified for Microsoft Windows XP.
The gigabyte motherboard is equipped with the latest SiS650GX IGUI host memory controller (North Bridge). It integrates a high-performance host interface for P4 processors and a DDR memory controller to support mainstream DDR266 memory with a bandwidth of
2.1 Mbps. It also has a real 256-bit 3D/128-bit 2D graphic engines and video accelerator for all kinds of VGA output.
The SiS962L MuTIOL media I/O (South Bridge) chipset in the motherboard provides 533 Mbps bandwidth to uplift the system's performance. The motherboard supports Ultra ATA 133/100 IDE devices and has an integrated Ethernet 10/100 Mbps network connection.
The device is priced at less than Rs 3,000.
