Google has launched an update of its Maps for iOS devices that allows the users to share their location to other apps like Facebook and its Messenger. According to thenextweb.com, the new feature is part of Google Maps version 4.8.0 which will now make it easier to send a pin to someone who is on their desktop computer.

The users can also broadcast their location to their friends or target it to a specific group. However, it does not allow the users to post pins directly in events. In addition, the app update includes improved transit directions, offering more route choices and real-time arrival information in certain areas.

The company also introduced a new image gallery for places. The users have to tap on a photo to get a grid view of all of the images other Google users have posted to Maps.
