The Government of Bihar secured the seamless operation of government entities by effectively implementing Mission Mode Projects such as E-Office and E-Procurement, which are two of the National e-Governance Plan's Mission Mode Projects. The E-Office project aims to increase productivity, quality, resource management, turnaround time, and transparency by replacing the existing manual procedure with an electronic file system. DIT Bihar is the nodal Department for e-Office implementation in Bihar, and the NIC created the E-Office framework. E-office has been introduced in 30 departments and 15 government PSUs in Bihar.

On the other hand, E-Procurement is the process of doing physical tendering activities online utilizing the internet and related technology. The user of an E-Procurement System can provide ease and efficiency to operations without compromising the organization's procurement policies and procedures. The government expects to promote openness and efficiency in public procurement through the e-Procurement System; it is also projected that e-Procurement will save roughly 15-20 percent yearly.

The Department of Information Technology of the Bihar government has launched an Android-based app (HIT-COVID) to assist health personnel in tracking home isolated COVID-positive patients. The HIT-COVID App was lauded by the Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for its creative thought and implementation. The HIT-COVID app lets health personnel track the health condition of COVID Positive patients who were isolated at home, allowing them to deliver appropriate medical care to those who needed it. Bihar has achieved incredible strides in every area of development. Bihar is, in fact, one of the best-performing states in terms of GDP growth. Near the state capital, this Indian state is building its first information technology (IT) park.

Bihar's net state homegrown item per capita has increased dramatically. Between 2015 and 2021, the state's NSDP grew at a CAGR of 13.41 percent (in Rs.) at current costs per capita. The state government has developed an IT city at Rajgir, Nalanda, on 100 acres of earmarked land. Furthermore, the State Government has allocated aside 25 acres of land in Bihta, Patna, for a proposed IT park with cutting-edge amenities, a reliable web network, and reliable electricity access. IT/ITeS and device organizations will be housed in a state-funded IT tower.

The Department's initiative to encourage entrepreneurs and investors to invest in the IT industry and to establish Bihar as the most privileged investment destination, according to Shri Jibesh Kumar, Hon'ble Minister Government of Bihar, Department of Information Technology, is taking critical steps under the 'Invest IT Bihar Campaign' Investment initiative. On the 9th and 13th floors of Patna's Biscoumaun Tower, the Bihar government's Department of Information Technology has set up 78 Wi-Fi equipped workstations, 33 separate cabins, and a 60-seater call center with a total area of 12,000 square feet. For the allocation of rent-free office space, the Department has received over 80 registrations and 48 applications with registration fees in the form of demand draughts from startups in various sectors such as business process outsourcing, knowledge process outsourcing, data analytics, internet of things, and business process management.

Policies have been eased to entice investment. In addition, there is no shortage of cost-effectively skilled labor in the state. All of this will tempt investors to come to Bihar and invest. The Department of Information of the Government of Bihar has taken several actions.
