Astric Centre of Excellence has recently organized a valedictory function for students for passing out PG Diploma in Advanced Computing.

Development Commissioner  Bihar, Amir Subhani, IAS handed over the PG Diploma Certificate in Advanced Computing to passing out economically weak candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC and Minorities.

These courses were 100% sponsored by the Department of IT and Minority Welfare and conducted at C-DAC Authorised Training Centre Astric Solution Campus at Khajpura, Bailey Road, Patna.

Many of these passing out candidates have already got their placement in various leading IT companies including C-DAC Pune and Patna as well.

Speaking on this convocation ceremony - Chief Guest, MLA Digha Dr Sanjiv Chaurasia said, “This State and Central collaborations with will help in the better career of students towards Empowerment and Entrepreneurship for inclusive development. India is marching towards a stronger economy ensuring inclusive growth, employment opportunities and digital literacy.”

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi had assigned top priority to skill development, right at the outset. The Skill India Mission has been envisaged to empower the youth of the country with skill sets making them employable and ensuring they earn a better livelihood and respect for themselves. C-DAC's Education and Training programmes are aimed at creating skilled manpower in the country by providing quality training programmes in the field of Electronics and ICT,” he added.

Aditya Sinha- Director (C-DAC Patna) told that C-DAC is conducting these six months PGDAC (Post Graduate Diploma Course) and four months certificate courses in Advanced Web Technology (CAWT) and Network Security (CCNS) to enhance their IT technical skillsets for good career opportunities. Department of IT and Minorities Welfare has signed an MOU with C-DAC Pune and sponsored these high-end training programmes for economically weaker candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC and minority communities of Bihar domicile.

Prabhat Kr. Sinha, Director, Astric Solutions said “This is a major Digital initiative taken-up by our state government and will certainly help Industrial training and employment connect for the students in global industries. Admission in PG Diploma in Advanced Computing course is thru a National Level competitive examination (CET) which is held twice a year.”

Students were told about the emerging requirement in the field of Information technology which will help them pursue their career in several areas under digital and skill transformation like Smart City, Metro Projects.
