Expanding its managed services portfolio, HCL Comnet, an IT services management company, has tied up with Trend Micro, a provider of network anti-virus and Internet content security software and services.
HCL said that the partnership would introduce remote anti-virus management solution-the expert service offering (ESO).
CL has recently created a special Anti-virus expert service center in its security operating center (SOC).
According to HCL Comnet COO, Sanjeev Nikore, “This remotely delivered end-to-end expert service will proactively fortify
enterprises from malicious virus attacks that have a potential to bring operations to a halt.”
The partnership aims at introducing the ESO to telecom, financial services, BPO and call centers.
HCL said that the ESO aims at improving a company's security posture through constant proactive anti-virus monitoring and management and timely response to any potential outbreak. It also incorporates process enforcement procedures, thus building a more robust and secure environment. According to Frost & Sullivan, the Indian managed anti-virus management market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 34.8% between 2004-2011 and is expected to touch Rs 100 crore by 2011.
