Infosystems has announced a
business partnership with Ernakulam District Co-operative Bank for
providing HCL ME laptops, with zero percent interest. The scheme is
being offered to the
account holders by Ernakulam District Co-operative Bank for enabling
consumer finance for purchase of computing devices. The scheme is
being offered at zero percent interest with 100 percent financing and
no processing charge levied. The tenure of the loan process is 24
months. Government employees can avail the facility without guarantee
and employees from any private sector organization and other account
holders need to give one guarantor to the Bank. This scheme will be
available across all the branches of the Ernakulam District
Co-operative Bank.

Speaking on the partnership JV
Ramamurthy, President and COO, HCL Infosystems said, “It has always
been our endeavor to see a PC in every household even in the remotest
parts of the country. In our commitment to sustain and support the
cause of widespread PC adoption, we have today entered into a
strategic tie-up with Ernakulam District Co-operative Bank and we are
confident that our association will give immediate benefits to the
potential buyers. The idea is to reach out to customers across India,
who needs computing devices but face problems with the unavailability
of financial assistance.”

District Co-operative Bank. The loan will be processed within 24
hours. With a proven track record of its commitment to increase PC
penetration in India, HCL was the first ICT company in India to
introduce an EMI scheme as low as Rs 499 on its 'HCL Ezeebee'
brand of PCs in the year 2004. It was this initiative that trigged
mainstream adoption of PCs by consumers making it extremely easy to
fit a personal computer into the monthly family budget.
