Hewlett-Packard opens state-of-art facility in Chennai

HP launched the new facility for its Global Delivery center in Chennai,
India. This state-of-art facility is located at the Olympia Technology Park,
Guindy. The unique e-Launch took place at the prestigious Connect 2006 event in
Chennai at the hands of Kalaignar M Karunanidhi, Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
Also present was Dayanidhi Maran Union Minister for Communications and IT,
Government of India.

This facility will add a new dimension to HP's Global Delivery of Services.
Highly skilled technical professionals, mature software processes and world
class project management skills help it deliver cutting edge solutions to HP's
global customers.

The Chennai center will play an important role in contributing to HP India's
growth strategy. The company is all set to tap the enormous talent pool the
state offers. The delivery center will focus on key outsourcing engagements
covering all aspects of IT and IT enabled services including Application
Services, BPO Services, ITO, etc.

Speaking on the new facility launch, Som Mittal, President and CEO of
Hewlett-Packard Globalsoft and WW Head of Application Services Delivery
Organization said- "Setting up an HP facility in Chennai is a confluence of
synergy and purpose. Chennai is well known for its good infrastructure,
best-in-class talent and work ethos and the state houses some of the country's
best educational institutions."

HP India was established in 1988, India is one of the largest and most
