HFCL bags order from Delhi Metro Rail Corporation

HFCL has recently secured a significant order valued at ₹80.92 crores from Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). Under this project, HFCL will be responsible for the installation and implementation of the Fibre Optics Transmission System (FOTS) for the Delhi Metro Rail Project. It will be commissioned by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) Limited.

The timeline to execute this order is one hundred and fifty-six weeks from the date of notice to proceed (NTP). Thereafter, HFCL has to provide warranty support for one hundred and four weeks. The company will be involved in the design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the Fibre Optics Transmission System (FOTS) for three priority Corridors of Phase-IV of the Delhi Metro Rail Project. 

With a commendable track record in deploying communication networks for numerous railway projects both globally and domestically; HFCL has established itself as a reliable entity. 

Notable projects include the Mauritius Metro, the ongoing Dhaka Metro project, the Gujarat Metro project, and the Kanpur-Agra metro rail projects. Capitalizing on these robust capabilities, the company is poised to further enhance its railway capacities within India.

Additionally, HFCL brings extensive expertise in integrating communication networks for both metro and mainline railways. It has successfully implemented video management systems in approximately 600 railway stations. Recently, the company was selected by Indian Railways to conduct a 5G trial along the Palwal-Mathura sector, spanning 82 km.
