High-end graphics card

The new Asus EN8600GTS/HTDP/256M is a high-end graphics card that will be
released and bundled with the first person shooter game STALKER: Shadows of
Chernobyl. Equipped with 256MB of DDR3 memory and able to support Nvidia's SLI
technology, the EN8600GTS is designed with the gamer's graphics expectations in
mind. In line with this, Asus's G1 gaming series notebook also features in the
STALKER game itself.

The Asus EN8600GTS utilizes Nvidia's unified architecture with GigaThread
technology to deliver graphics and visual special effects. This graphics card
will make use of the graphical enhancements from Microsoft Windows Vista to
enable special effects. The Asus EN8600GTS will also feature 128-bit
floating-point high dynamic-range (HDR) lighting and Nvidia quantum effects
technology-allowing users to bring out the best parts of the gritty and
atmospheric portions of any game.

One key feature of the Asus EN6800GTS is full HDCP compliancy-allowing users
playback of HD DVD, Blu-ray discs and other protected content at full HD
resolutions. Furthermore, the Asus EN8600GTS comes with a host of input and
output solutions to fit any situation. Utilizing the PCI-express slot, this
graphics card also has TV-out, HDTV-out and dual DVI-I (supports two 3840 x 2400
at 30Hz resolution displays) and VGA outputs.

One application bundled together with the Asus EN8600GTS is the Asus Gamer
OSD. This feature is able to deliver over clocking and chat options during game
play-allowing users real-time perfor­mance upgrades when they require it.
