Himachal CM has distributed laptops to 86 students who have done well in class 10th and 12th exams. the laptops were distributed under the Rajiv Gandhi Digital Student Yojana.
The Rajiv Gandhi Digital Student Yojana was launched by the Himachal CM in the Mandi District of the state on Sunday.
Under this scheme, 10,000 laptops will be distributed to students who do well in the Himachal Pradesh State School Board Exam. The scheme will cost 18.32 lakhs of rupees.
In the state of Himachal, more than 1000 schools have been upgraded, besides opening 24 industrial and technical training institutions.
The computers dealers and the SIs of the state and the suppliers of the computer-related technology in Himachal are taking this as a welcome move not only for the future of the school children, but for the increase in their business in the state. Rakesh Parmar, who deals with computers in Simla said this was a welcome scheme for the overall prosperity of the state.
