As part of this initiative, the company is eyeing small regional system
integrators within India, in order to help them target the burgeoning SMB
segment as far as storage solutions are concerned.

“India is a growing market for storage and within this the SMB segment is
one of the fastest. We already have partnerships with companies like Acer, Wipro,
Ingram and Apara. Now we are trying to identify certain key system integrators
for small regions and geographies to target SMB segment in this region. We are
doing this with the help of Ingram and Acer. Initially, we are looking at 10
such partners within this region,” informed Vivekanand Venogopal, Director -
Software Solutions, APAC, Hitachi Data Systems India.

With its focus towards SMB, Hitachi is working towards delivering AOS
strategy when it comes to solutions for areas like DR and SAN management. “This
strategy comprises four layers of storage services, data services, content
services and application services. All these layers are designed to deliver
value to our partners. Whether it is a storage management solution for an
archival system, with the help of our AOS strategy, system integrators will be
in a position to derive better value for their set of customers,” he added.
