The website provides vital information on what constitutes software piracy

and answers to frequently asked questions regarding software piracy. The web

site also has information about Microsoft´s anti-counterfeiting technologies,

such as a Certificate of Authenticity Label (COAL) and recovery solutions media

(including a new copper hologram CD).

Punit Vanvaria, Manager - Anti Piracy, Microsoft Corporation India says,

"The launch of the ´How to Tell´ campaign is in sync with our overall

objective of educating users about the perils of software piracy, providing them

with information to make the right choice."

"We believe that raising awareness in itself will contribute

significantly towards reducing the incidence of software piracy which in most

cases occurs because of ignorance," added Punit.

Microsoft´s anti-piracy campaign in India also includes a channel education

program to arm sales people with the tools and information they need.
