HP launches printers with Instant-On Technology

Hewlett- Packard extended its Laserjet portfolio with the launch of HP
Laserjet 5200 series. An advanced version of the erstwhile 5100 printers, HP
Laserjet 5200 series addresses the needs of the business customers. According to
the recent IDC estimates, the market for business printing is expected to grow
at 14 percent in 2006 in India.

Launched at a price of Rs 50,000 onwards, the new HP Laserjet 5200 series is
optimized for organizations looking at deriving cost and productivity benefits
while meeting the needs of a diverse customer base. HP LaserJet 5200 series is
based on HP Instant-On Technology that reduces the warm-up time and allows the
first page to be printed in 10 seconds regardless of when the printer was last
used.

"With a market share of 74 percent (Q1, 2006 IDC), HP leads the LaserJet
printer market. We believe in growing, expanding and leading the laser printer
market in India. There is a growing need in Indian businesses for high-speed
printing coupled with a high rate of return on investment. The launch of 5200

The HP Laserjet 5200 printer series delivers print quality of up to 1200 x
1200 dpi. The series comprises of the following:

LJ 5200 (Rs 55,999); LJ 5200N (Rs. 72,999); LJ 5200TN (Rs 93,999) and LJ 5200DTN
(Rs 109,999).

The laserjet series is supported by HP's unique Dial-a-Cartridge program,
which enables customers to order a cartridge through a toll-free number (1800
425 4999) whenever they run out of supplies. To support its product lines, HP
has 273 Service and Support centres across the country.
