HP unveils desktop for SMBs

HP introduced the HP Compaq Business Desktop d240 microtower, a full-featured
desktop PC designed for SMBs looking for performance and reliability at a low
cost. The new product, an extension of the HP Compaq Business Desktop d200
series, is the lowest-priced HP business desktop with Hyper-Threading (HT)
technology.

The HP Compaq d240 has two front-access and six rear-access USB 2.0 port
enabling instant productivity. Expansion capabilities include three PCI slots,
four DDR memory slots and a total of five drive bays. It also comes with full
multi-media capabilities delivering high quality audio and video to businesses.

The HP Compaq d240 is available with Windows XP Professional or Windows XP
Home or Mandrake’s Linux v9.2. Starting from a price range of Rs 47,990,
customers can choose a configuration that features the Intel Pentium 4 2.60 GHz
Processor with HT technology, Microsoft Windows XP Professional, 256MB DDR
400MHz, 40GB hard drive, Intel Extreme Graphics 2, Integrate d Soundmax AC97
audio, 52X CD-ROM and an HP 15" CRT monitor.
