What is the one thing that you would like to change in yourself?
I would like to change my temperament and act in a more calmand composed manner while dealing with people, during adversesituations.
If you were reborn, you would like to be born as?
I want to be reborn as Nitin Shah only, but having corrected all themistakes, that I did in my current life. In my next birth, I want tobe an 'improved' Nitin Shah, so that I can run my organization more efficiently.
Who is your favorite author?
Are you reading anything now?My favorite authors are David Kaplan and Ram Saran. I generally readmanagement books.Five things you cannot live without?iPad, mobile phone, wallet, credit cards and books.
What is your most embarrassing moment?
I was once given special treatment in a South Indian restaurant inMumbai. I wondered why? Later I found out that the owner of therestaurant mistook me for being a Cabinet Minister.
The best compliment you have received so far?
My son Nehal, who is my best critic, appreciated me on delivering apublic speech to a large audience. He said, “Papa you did a great job.”
Your idol in life?
I consider Jack Welch, the ex-CEO of General Electric as my idol in life.My role model is Steve Jobs of Apple.
Your advice to upcoming entrepreneurs?
Do not look only at the profit and loss account in business, but positionthe company in terms of creating greater values.
Where do you see yourself five years down the line?
I will be at my retiring age and would like to be known as the 'Most FairPerson', because I have never been biased and have always treatedpeople equally.
What is the most memorable event of your life?
I was elated when my son Nehal was born. I can never forget themoment, when I held him in my hands for the first time.
