IBM Global Services India has given Iris Computers the Best Distributor award
for X-series server business for 2004. In a ceremony held in Vienna, IBM Global
Services MD, Shanker Annaswamy felicitated Iris Computers Chairman, Sanjiv
Krishen with a trophy. The disty clocked in sales revenue of about $10 million
from IBM products alone in 2004. Iris has been the largest distributor of IBM
products in North India for the past 17 business quarters.
As per IDC India, IBM registered a growth of 20.5% year-on-year growth as far
as server sales are concerned, much higher than the average industry growth rate
of 16.5%. Iris Computers helped IBM attain the leadership position by
registering a year-on-year growth of 195%.
Sanjiv said, "Iris' response to every IBM scheme has always been
overwhelming. Profitability is what drives us. We set up a 'war room'
environment tracking every single order across the country on a scoreboard.
Faster communication between offices, personalized approach and call for action
across regions is what keeps our sales ticking. We have always offered IBM ease
