Imation India has announced the launch and availability of Memorex brand of
products in India. It has appointed Mumbai-based Mediaman Group of Companies as
its national distributor for the Memorex product portfolio, which includes
external storage products, optical products and accessories.
Said Sanjay Koul, Country Manager (India & SAARC), Imation India,
"At Imation, we are confident that there shall be many takers for Memorex's
products and the brand will find greater market acceptance in the days to come.
We are delighted to appoint Mediaman as our distribution partner in India. It
has extensive channel network and presence across all market geographies - ideal
to give Memorex a head start even in B&C class cities."
Imation shall leverage on Mediaman's pan-India reach as it has 4000 active
channel partners across the country under its fold. It has business operations
in 40 Indian cities - through 14 direct offices and 26 C&F (carry &
forward) agents. Its access to upcountry markets will be of immense advantage
for Memorex.

the business prospects that we foresee, we have set an ambitious target- to
secure at least 20 percent market share in all product categories, by this year
