Infosys Inaugurates New Development Center in Visakhapatnam

Infosys, a global provider of next-generation digital services and consulting, has recently announced the opening of its latest development center in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The new state-of-the-art center, spanning over an expansive area of 83,750 square feet, is designed to provide employees with greater flexibility to work in a hybrid mode, which allows them to work from home as well as in the office.

This move is in line with the company's vision to offer a flexible work environment to its employees and help them achieve a better work-life balance. The inauguration of the Visakhapatnam DC will not only help Infosys in expanding its presence across India but also enable the company to attract and retain local talent. The center will provide opportunities for the re-skilling and up-skilling of local talent to work on global projects using next-gen technologies such as Cloud, AI, and Digital.

The DC was inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Shri YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, in the presence of Shri Gudivada Amarnath, IT Minister of the Government of Andhra Pradesh, Smt Vidadala Rajini, Minister for Health, Family Welfare & Medical Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh, Mr. Nilanjan Roy, Chief Financial Officer, Infosys, Mr. Niladri Prasad Mishra, Vice President, Infosys, and Mr. Raghu Boddupally, Vice President, Infosys, and other senior government officials.

The DC, which will accommodate approximately 1,000 employees, is aligned with Infosys’ future-ready hybrid workplace strategy. Additionally, in alignment with Infosys’ ESG commitments and green building standards, the office is constructed to be efficient in terms of energy and water usage, as well as waste management.
