Ingram targets SMBs with XP-powered Vesta

Ingram Micro launched a range of PCs, Vesta, which come with the Microsoft Windows XP operating system. These desktops are targeted at corporate users and will retail between Rs 19,999 and Rs 36,999.

Vesta PCs targeted at SOHO and SMB segments feature an Intel Celeron 1.3 Ghz, a 1.8 Ghz processor and is pre-loaded with Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition. The price for these units range between Rs 19,999 and Rs 21,999.

For the corporate user, the 'Vesta' range offers a combination of the P4 processor (1.7 Ghz and 2.4 Ghz with hyperthreading technology) with Windows XP Professional Edition for prices ranging Rs 28,999 and Rs 36,999. 

SP Rajguru, Chief Operating Officer, Ingram Micro says, "We are confident that the new range of PCs powered with Windows XP will trigger customer demand significantly, scoring on both, the price and value parameters." 

The new range of Ingram Micro PCs will be available through its distribution network. The company will also give support services for these products.
