Tell us about your data centre solutions in brief

Amitanshu Satpathy - BPE is a UPS manufacturer operations in India and exports to Singapore, UAE and Malaysia.

We are focused on power solutions and end-to-end solutions for all industry power requirements including the datacentre industry. We are approved by many datacentres for our power solutions.

What motivated you to go into this field?

Amitanshu Satpathy - Indian power scenario and problems are studied by our team; and we developed product suits to take care of it. Unlike other MNC, where they send their existing products to India without changes or adopting to Indian power situation, making the product highly unreliable in the industry, we adapt our products to Indian situations. As we know that power supply in India is not stable and fluctuates. hence, our power solutions have to be uniquely adaptable to every situation.

How is this venture growing? What was your revenue % in the last 1 year?

Amitanshu Satpathy - We got 12% of our total revenue from Datacentre, including the recent datacentre developed at Singapore financial companies, where we supplied modular UPS with lithium battery solutions.

Growth and market of datacentre solutions in India

Amitanshu Satpathy - It’s growing by 25% every month. A new government classification of DC to infra business, many new players are coming and we have a tremendous growth potential in this segment.

Would you say that datacentre solutions is more profitable than UPS products and would you like to further expand on the datacentre segment?

Amitanshu Satpathy - It’s indeed, but the DC industry requires a lot of certification, quality and prompt service SLA and reliable technology.
