How is the hardware distribution business doing in your region?
Satish – It is doing pretty well in our region. There is a spurt in demand due to back to school and back to college. Students are there at computer shops looking for best products and services. We are very hopeful to grow our business over last year.
What challenges are you facing and how are you resolving these challenges?
Satish – Current challenge in the market is that our partners are not equipped with finance capabilities. Having said that, there are digital platforms which can give us tremendous growth, in getting new customer aligned and in upgrading it. Like many years back this gave the backbone and growth to consumer durable or automobile industry. Even we can get the same level of growth by empowering consumer with finance facilities.
We are very much focused on our partner company HP India to provide plethora of finance option to the last mile partner so as to increase customer base.
Have you made the efforts to use digital platforms to grow your business and how has it helped you?
Satish – Digital is now the need of an hour. We with HP are running various programmes like SAKSHAM, Reward plus etc. for the better transparency with channel. It’s an amazing digital initiative by company which is helping channel in a big way.
The growing demand for cloud, datacentre and other Smart Tech – how has it helped to grow hardware demand to drive Smart Tech?
Satish – The growth of Smart techs has also caused a spurt in the demand for hardware to support Smart techs. Hence, the demand of quality hardware from companies like HP India has increased with the growing Smart techs in the country.
