How is the technology of servers and networking evolving in 2022-23?
Suresh Gandhi - With respect to servers and networking, the cloud market will pick up. Virtualisation of servers will be more. In the coming days, more cloud adoption will happen. In the coming 3 to 4 years, more cloud-based servers will emerge.
I do not find any big change in the networking. With technology. While the chipset problems are getting solved, the supplies will get regularized. People are moving towards wifi networks. Consumers will prefer gigabytes. After 2023 there will be a drastic change in the networking market. The fibre will be dominant.
How is the business growth of servers and networking in 2022-23?
Suresh Gandhi - After the pandemic, the market is just evolving. To attain more efficiency and performance, businesses worldwide have started leveraging the benefits of cloud infrastructure as it offers advantages like cost-efficiency, flexibility, low-cost storage and more. Within a short span, the number of jobs around cloud computing has increased tremendously.
According to sources, the Cloud infrastructure market in India is estimated to expand at a compound annual growth rate CAGR of ~23.61% during the forecast period (2019-2024) and will reach a value of INR 196.46 Bn by 2024.
What are the challenges faced by the servers and networking professionals? How do they resolve these challenges?
Suresh Gandhi - Networking professionals need not worry about anything. The market for networking will be there for the next 2 decades. The networking will be there for the next few years. However, my request to people in the networking segment is to keep yourselves updated. Server professionals should know more about virtualization. Those professionals should know more towards cloud and cloud servers. The actual market for cloud is yet to pick-up.
What are the new opportunities in the segment of servers and networking?
Suresh Gandhi - I am focusing only on the network security. The network security segment is expected to grow at the highest CAGR during the forecast period. Globally, there is a lot of corporate, private, and regulatory data on network connection. There have been significant social and economic losses as a result of the rise in cyber attack against businesses. Organisations have been required to invest more in security as a consequence, which is anticipated to drive the expansion of the network security segment over the course of the projected year.
