Vishal Shah, Co-founder & CEO, Synersoft Technologies is working towards providing integrated hardware and software solutions to MSMEs. Here he talks to us about his work.

How are you helping the MSMEs in the IT sector grow?

Vishal Shah - MSMEs in the IT sector are mostly exporters or suppliers to large corporations and that is why they are susceptible to global competition. They must embrace technology in order to get a competitive edge in the market and to stay relevant. They must invest in and maintain standard IT infrastructure in order to produce digital assets such as documentation, designs, drawings, cost-sheets, bids, formulas and IPR. To ensure business continuity and avoid competitive exploitation, they should not only develop but also protect digital assets from loss and theft. It is imperative that they sign confidentiality agreements with their clients, stipulating that they adhere to certain cybersecurity principles.

This necessitates IT expertise on their part. Unfortunately, IT talent does not want to work for a small business. As a result, they are left with inexperienced IT personnel to assist them in adopting information technology as outlined above.

Traditional options for establishing a standard IT architecture and safeguarding digital assets against loss, leakage, and theft are difficult and costly. Meanwhile, configuring and maintaining these solutions necessitates IT expertise. They also make the purchase of several hardware and software solutions important, as well as skilled integration which is out of reach of MSMEs.

We've created a disruptive solution that consists of a single hardware and software solution that saves 70% on the cost of establishing typical IT infrastructure and does not require IT personnel to maintain. We assist MSMEs by commodification of IT solutions so that they may become globally competitive, maintain business continuity with confidence, and are not subject to data theft. With the economical and easy single hardware-single software offering, we enable MSMEs to standardise IT and secure digital assets from loss, leakage, and theft.

What has been the response of the MSMEs in the IT sector to associate with you in the last 1 year and how have you expanded?

Vishal Shah - Our end customers are MSMEs in the non-IT industry. As a business opportunity, MSMEs in the IT industry, in the business of System Integration for MSMEs, are advocating and selling our goods and solutions to their MSME end clients. We've received various positive comments and feedback from MSME companies in the IT sector in the previous year. As far as expansion is concerned, we've added 5 distributors and over 150 System Integrator partners in the last year. When compared to other items, ours is a unique business opportunity.

What is your emphasis on R&D?

Vishal Shah - Research and Development is JAVA based and at the heart of all we do. We devote a considerable portion of our revenue to research and development. We've added three new features every quarter for the past six years, enhancing the product value in the hands of the client. We are the inventors of a number of data-protection technologies for which we hold the intellectual property rights. Our R&D team has a clear vision for the next five years' roadmap.

How much do you develop in India and how much do you import from abroad? From which countries do you import?

Vishal Shah - We are a corporation that manufactures products entirely in India. We are a 'Make in India' company in the truest sense. Our imports are restricted to very particular electrical components, which account for 20% of our overall inputs.
