Iomega launches combo DVD+RW/CD-RW drive

Iomega Corporation, provider of data storage, has launched its DVD+RW 4 x 2.4 x 12 /CD-RW 16 x 10 x 40 EIDE
(ATAPI) drive. With a 4 x write and 2.4 x rewrite speeds, this internal DVD+RW/CD-RW drive features digital audio
extraction (DAE) speed with buffer underrun protection, eliminating the risk of wasted DVD or CD media.

It also comes with Hotburn Pro software featuring advanced functionality for easy DVD and CD-burning and customization.
Other software includes Iomega Automatic Backup software for hassle-free and reliable back up of files and
industry leading software for video editing and video playback. 

The drive can record up to 4.7 GB of data files on a DVD disc, and up to two hours of high-quality DVD video (three hours
regular video) on a DVD or one hour of video on VCD media. 

It creates and edits video DVD discs which can be viewed on most DVD players as well as creates and shares music on CDs
and plays them on home, portable or car stereos.

It is bundled with a software suite that includes Iomega Hotburn Pro for easy DVD and CD-burning and customization, Sonic
MyDVD for video-editing, Sonic CinePlayer for high quality video playback for PCs, MusicMatch Jukebox
music management and Adobe ActiveShare photo management software, as well as Iomega Automatic Backup for back-up to
DVD or CD discs. 

The product also comes with an EIDE cable, audio cable, mounting screws, Quick Install Guide, Solutions CD with drivers
and abovementioned software and one DVD+R disc at suggested retail price of Rs 16,000 plus taxes from
all Iomega authorized resellers. In India, Iomega's authorized distributors are Ingram Micro India Ltd and Neoteric
Informatique. The Iomega DVD+RW 4 x 2.4 x 12 /CD-RW 16 x 10 x 40 EIDE (ATAPI) drive comes
with a one year limited warranty.
