Iomega launches dual DVD Drive

Iomega has launched DVD Internal 4X Dual Format Drive (DVD±RW/CD-RW EIDE/ATAPI), which can read and record CD-R, CD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD-R, DVD-RW as well as read DVD-ROM and CD-ROM. 

The drive can record up to 4.7GB of data files on a DVD disc, and up to two hours of high-quality DVD video (three hours regular video) on a DVD or one hour of video on VCD media. It creates and edits video DVD discs and which can be viewed on most DVD players.

Users can also create and share music on CDs and play them on home, portable or car stereos with the drive. It features Buffer UnderRun protection that prevents the inadvertent destruction of blank DVDs or CDs during DVD-R or CD-R sessions. 

The accompanying software suite includes Iomega Hotburn Pro for DVD and CD-burning and customization, Sonic MyDVD for video-editing to make home videos and business presentations, Sonic CinePlayer for video playback available for PCs, MusicMatch Jukebox music management and Adobe ActiveShare photo management software, as well as Iomega Automatic Backup for back-up to DVD or CD discs.

The product also comes with an EIDE data cable, audio cable, mounting screws, Quick Install Guide, Solutions CD with drivers and abovementioned software and one DVD+RW disc. 

The Iomega DVD Internal 4X Dual Format Drive (DVD±RW/CD-RW EIDE/ATAPI) drive comes with a one-year limited warranty. The new drive would be available at the suggested retail price of Rs 16,500, plus taxes.
