Iris Computers Pvt Ltd has been appointed as the national distributor for IBM's toner cartridges. This is another feather in the cap for Iris and the company feels that it has been able to add new products to its kitty because of its consistent performance in the distribution field.
According to Kamini Talwar, Vice-President, Iris Computers, "We have a long association with IBM and by giving the distributorship of toner cartridges they have made us feel that we have been performing to our potential and I would ensure that we give the best possible results in this product segment as well."
Iris is planning to sell Rs 2 crore worth of toner cartridges in the first month of its operation and Kamini pointed out that as this product is a day-to-day use materials, growth in this segment would increase from time to time.
Meanwhile, Kamini also adds that Iris is in talks with a multinational company, which is into digital products and she is hopeful that the deal will be finalized in couple of month's time. Declining to name the company, she says, "I just want to convey to our channels that this fiscal we would add digital products to our kitty because we see huge potential coming up in this segment. I also want to add that today, channel partners can't only stick to selling IT products, they have to have the whole gamut of IT and digital entertainment and this would ensure that they keep on growing with time".
Iris clocked revenue of Rs 330 crore this fiscal and it wants to achieve the Rs 500 crore mark in the next two years. "I realize
that we have to keep on adding new products and adding digital solutions is a step towards achieving our goal on a fast track," Kamini sums up.
