ACI Infocom has also started distribution of Jetway’s range of motherboards and VGA cards. Jetway now has two distributors in India that is Anirox Technologies and ACI
Infocom.
Canny Shen, Regional Manager (India and Middle East), says, “The reason we choose ACI is because they have a different background from the current partner
Anirox."
According to Canny, ACI's current resources would help Jetway increase market share.
Denying rumours about ACI's appointment as a cover-up for Anirox's poor performance, Canny says, “We have been doing our research on adding an additional distributor for quite some time now. In fact, ACI's appointment was done after holding talks with Anirox Technologies."
Through ACI, Jetway is expecting bigger volumes because of the former's good presence in the corporate sector.
ACI is also upbeat about this new addition. "We are hoping to sell around 400 to 500 boards per month in the systems intergrator segment. Other markets we are looking at least 2000 mobos per month," says Kerman Rana, GM (Marketing and Sales) from ACI
Infocom.
ACI is also its team by adding manpower. "There will also be a lot of channel activity in terms of schemes and roadshows for SIs in the coming months. Most probably these activities would start in Bangalore,” says Kerman.
On the other hand Jetway is looking at an aggressive target of 10000 mobos a month, which according to Canny is achievable by the end of this year. “Infact we will not want any more distributors if these two are able achieve the required volumes. We are aware that there are a lot of players in the Indian market today and it is a common scenario in all countries," says Canny.
According to Canny, Jetway's present strategy would be to gain more customers by providing a range of products like motherboards, VGA cards, barebone systems and LCD monitors.
Presently Anirox is carrying Jetway's entire range of products but ACI would start off only with motherboards and VGA cards.
