Jorjy toys with innovative bundling strategy

Jorjy International is looking at innovative ways to capture slipping marketshare in motherboards and enhance channel profitability. It has come up with a cost-effective bundle of PC components to address the issues.

The bundle will include a cabinet with a power supply and matching keyboard, mouse and speakers, motherboard, display card, RAM, CD-drive and a floppy drive. The bundled products belong to the Perx brand that Jorjy distributes in the country. The bundle will come in the Pentium III and the Pentium 4 variants. 

The bundle will be test launched in Punjab in April. Says AK Sapru, CEO, Jorjy International, "We are looking at 25 to 30 partners to participate in the test phase and expect to sell 300 to 400 bundles per month." After two months of the test phase, Sapru plans to take it to national levels.

With the channel constantly complaining of eroding margins, the company expects the margins to be healthier because of the increased value proposition.
