Juniper to expand its channel network

Juniper Networks is expanding its reseller network. From the present 25 the

number of resellers is set to touch 100 by December 2005. "With new product

lines for security and enterprise segment we are expanding our J-Partner program

network," said Anil Batra, VP Business Development, Juniper Networks.

The company promoted its J-Partner program in New Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore

in association with DQ Channels. "This program is designed to enable and

reward our partners who help their customers build business critical

networks," Anil added. The company held channel awareness meets at these

cities, which saw participation by the leading companies of the country.

At present, Juniper has partnerships with 10 large SIs in the country.

"We have a direct-touch-model with enterprise and service provider tea-ms

engaging their respective verticals. Nationally, we are working with Ingram

Micro as our authorized national distributor," he said.

With more and more Indian SMEs demanding carrier grade routing security

solutions- Juniper provides easily deployable, manageable format solutions.

"Our channel expansion is fuelled by the growing demand in the SME,

government and the enterprise sector. We are playing a major role



in the SSL (secure socket layer) VPN mar-kept globally and we want to replicate
our success in India as well," elaborated Girdhar Java, Country

Manager-India & SAARC, Juniper Networks.

Playing on its networking expertise-Juniper is involved in a RailTel contract

to help RailTel rollout IP-MPLS-based services at 38 locations nationally.

"The solution allows RailTel to offer secure service to its own customers.

They can also provide layer 3 based SSL VPN based services.  The

implementation of this project is already started," added Java.
