Kaspersky has unveiled upgraded features of its VPN, introducing advanced privacy features and expanded functionality on both Windows and Mac platforms. Notably, the release introduces a novel Double VPN feature, heightening privacy safeguards by rendering traffic content unreadable and concealing users' IP addresses and secondary locations. Furthermore, users can now access over 100 new server locations, easily saving them as favorites for quick and convenient usage on Windows, Android, and iOS devices

Kaspersky VPN's recent upgraded features prioritize speed and reliability with the integration of the robust Hydra protocol, renowned for industry-leading speeds. Notably, this advanced protocol is now accessible on any Android Windows, or Mac-iOS device, ensuring widespread compatibility. Additionally, the update extends support for the significant WireGuard protocol to Android, with plans to make it available on iOS by Q4 2023. These improvements collectively underscore Kaspersky's commitment to providing users with faster, more reliable, and versatile VPN solutions across various platforms.

Aside from OpenVPN, WireGuard expands router support to over 100 additional locations globally. My Kaspersky now features enhanced flow routing, elevating routing efficiency and resulting in a speedier and more user-friendly online experience.

The Double VPN, a noteworthy addition, enhances privacy protection substantially. Upon activation, the traffic between the client and output server undergoes dual encryption, introducing an extra layer of security facilitated by an intermediate server. This configuration renders it impossible to decipher traffic content or identify the user's IP address at the second location. The implementation of Double VPN not only fortifies the security infrastructure but also ensures a heightened level of confidentiality by doubling the protective measures in the data transmission process.

Kaspersky VPN users now have the option to choose servers from over 100 global locations, encompassing countries like Bangladesh, China, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, and Russia-Novosibirsk. For routine activities such as streaming or torrenting, users on Android, iOS, and Windows platforms can bookmark their preferred locations, ensuring convenient and swift access. Additionally, Kaspersky has enhanced the available locations by introducing 10 Gbps servers, further optimizing the user experience and providing improved performance for various online tasks.

“We understand that there is always a trade-off between connection speed and privacy protection when using a VPN regularly, which is never convenient – especially noticeable when streaming, gaming, or just surfing. We have further developed and improved Kaspersky VPN to answer this and other users’ demands. According to a recent AV-TEST, Kaspersky VPN was first in the most tested categories and showed outstanding download capabilities and torrenting speeds in both local and overseas testing. With ongoing improvements and increased privacy levels, we aim to deliver the best VPN for consumers. We are also glad this is proven by independent tests,” comments Marina Titova, Vice-President, Consumer Product Marketing at Kaspersky
