Lenovo India partners with HCL Infosystems

Lenovo India and HCL Infosystem have come together in a partnership. The alliance was a part of their strategy that would strengthen Lenovo's retail base and commercial business in the market. Lenovo is world's largest PC manufacturer for the fourth quarter consecutively.

In the strategic alliance HCL Infosystems will sell and support the entire portfolio of PCs and tablets. Through its wholly owned distribution arm; Digilife Distribution and Marketing Service (DDMS) HCL will enhance Lenovo's existing cooperation in the distribution of tablets in both urban and rural markets.

The partnership is poised to trigger growth and extend businesses for both companies. According to MAIT, the sale of desktops and notebooks is expected to grow from 11 million in fiscal 2013 to 2015 million in three years at an annual growth of 6%, with multinational companies having a major play.

HCL Infosystems is one of the top 3 distributors in India in terms of revenue with a distribution network. The company has been immensely successful in the BFSI vertical which can help Lenovo in achieving its ambition of becoming a world leader. This will enable HCL Infosystems to maintain its stronghold in the Indian market, while simultaneously increase its services business.
