Leviton to appoint 50 partners this year

New Delhi: With the objective to develop a strong position in the Indian market, Leviton, a US-based network and cable solution company, is looking forward to appoint system integrators and channel partners.

The company made its entry in Indian market four months back and has established its head office in Bengaluru. Leviton is now looking forward to expand its channel presence and is in the process of appointing system integrators and the resellers.

“We are right now identifying the channel partners and system integrators and are in the process of appointing them. Leviton has two sets of partners, Leviton Authorized Partners (LAP) and Leviton Preferred Partner (LPP). Leviton is planning to appoint 50 partners in the next two to three months out of which 10 to 12 would be LPP and the rest will be LAP. The company will appoint 100 partners by the end of next year,” said Prasanna Kumar, Regional Director, Leviton, India and SAARC

According to its plan, Leviton is aiming to first strengthen its position in the market and would then expand its product portfolio.Leviton is also providing training facilities to the system integrators that are being appointed. So far, the company has provided training to 40 channel partners.

Talking on the criteria of appointing the system integrators, Kumar further added, “With our network solution, we are providing end to end cabling solution and wireless solution. System integrators who are willing to offer these solution have to show us the interest and then we can further invest on them. Appointment of the partners is done after considering their interest and potential in providing the solution to the customers.”

Speaking on the reason of making a late entrance in the Indian market, Prasanna mentioned, “India is the only market where market has been safe even when the world was facing a slowdown. The market is safe to invest and there is huge potential lying ahead.”

Talking about the competition that Leviton will have to face when there are already players existing in the market, Kumar said, “We always appreciate healthy competition. Our main objective is to provide best network and cable solution to the end customers.”
Leviton is targeting BFSI, retail, aviation, transportation, health care, hospitality, manufacturing and telecoms as its focused vertical. Leviton is currently managed by six executives.
