Targeted at increasing the bottomline of its channel partners, LG Electronics
India (LGEIL) has launched the LG Channel Profit Vikas Yojna on peripherals.
The two and half month scheme, which started on July 16, 2005, is open to all
resellers across India on the purchase of LG monitors and optical drives from LG
regional distributors (RDs).
This scheme provides redeemable voucher of Rs 500 on purchases made on
different categories of LG products in the monitor and OSD space. Detailing the
scheme, LGEIL Sales and Marketing-- IT Products GM, R Manikandan said, "On
purchasing the products from LG RDs, the resellers would be given a LG Channel
Profit Vikas Patra with a value of Rs 500. These gift vouchers are from LG
branch offices with products ranging from vacuum cleaner to plasma
displays." The resellers can redeem their gift vouchers till October 2005.
Manikandan further added that LG took the decision to launch this scheme
after analyzing the pros and cons of the prevailing schemes in the market.
Explaining
the rationale behind the scheme, he said, "This is a simple, transparent
and profitable scheme. We wanted the scheme to be channel friendly, sans a long
registration process and easily understandable. This scheme promises freedom to
decide slabs, freedom to buy from any source, easy claims process and remarkable
rewards for our partners. This is more of a channel loyalty program where the
channels are assured of gifts for every purchase they make," he added.
