LG launches servers for the SMB segment

LG Electronics India announced the launch of LG Pro Server—PA 105 and PA110 for the SMB segment in the Indian market. The servers will provide a business server solution with messaging and collaboration, security-enhanced Internet access, protected data storage and printing for the SMB segment.

The Pro server comes with Intel Pentium 4 processor at 3.0 GHZ with 800 MHz with hyper-threading technology (up to Intel Pentium 4 extreme edition processor at 3.4 GHz with 2 MB L2 Cache) and Intel E7210P chipset. It also features a memory of 256 MB (PCS3200-400MHz) DDR SDRAM, unbuffered DIMM with ECC and has on board ATI graphics controller with 8 MB Video RAM.

Pro Server PA105 is priced at Rs 54,000 and PA 110 at Rs 65,000. Manikandan added that the company's turnover in the IT segment in the year 2003 was Rs 450 crore and it is targeting a turnover of Rs 760 crore from the IT division in 2004.
