LG Electronics India has launched two SMS-based programs for its partners. The program called LG Champions Club enables participating partners to track their balance points and rewards through SMS while the Freedom Fiesta program is a contest run completely through SMS. In the Freedom Fiesta contest, partners registered with LG are daily sent questions through SMS and those giving correct answers get eligible for lucky draw which has an LG optical mouse as the prize. While this contest was scheduled to end by 25th August, the company has decided to make it an ongoing exercise.

With a view to widen its product portfolio, the company has also decided to introduce keyboards and speakers. The keyboards will be launched under the brand 'MyKey' within a month's time. LG would also be bringing out entry-level and mid-range speakers. Explaining the rationale behind these product launches, R Manikanadan, GM-Sales and Mktg (IT Products), LG Electronics India says, “Our attempt is to be able to offer end-to-end product range to our customers. This will help LG achieve desired mindshare among partners as well as users.”

These partners would be awarded areawise on a monthly basis. “We would be providing a wide range of POP materials to our partners and in turn it would be their responsibility to ensure best possible visibility for the brand,” informs Ajay Varshney, Head-Western Zone, LG Electronics.
