LG to offer three-year warranty on Prescott P4 My PC

In its bid to increase its value offering to customers, LG Electronics will be offering a three-year warranty on its Prescott P4
version of My PC. "Today no other company except IBM offers a three-year warranty and by this
move we want to ensure that we provide the best value to our customers," informs R Manikandan, Deputy GM, Sales & Marketing (IT products), LG
Electronics.

"Our strength is our presence in the B- and C-class cities and the brand recall of LG. By offering the three-year warranty, we
would ensure that the customers' money is invested in a wise product," Manikandan points out.
LG would also introduce a three-year warranty scheme for the newly launched Sempron family of microprocessors from AMD. “It will depend on the
kind of segment that we are going to target, so we will be doing the valuation soon," he adds.

The Prescott P4 version of My PC has a 17” monitor comes with a CD writer and is priced at Rs 25,990. According to
Manikandan, this PC is priced very aggressively to help the company enhance its reach in the country.
He also informed that today LG sells 5,000 My PCs in the country on a monthly basis. The company is hopeful of selling 60,000 PCs in the country
December-end.
