Logitech opens first concept store in Kolkata

Logitech has recently launched their first brand store in Kolkata. The
inauguration was done by Bollywood Actress Soha Ali Khan in the presence of
Moninder Jain, Regional Director -South Asia and India, Logitech.

Located at the E-Mall near GC Avenue, the Logitech Concept Store is the first
such effort of Logitech in India as well as the APAC region. "This is the
first such concept driven store by Logitech and internationally one of its kind.
Since E-Mall is the first mall dedicated exclusively to electronics products in
India, we chose this venue as the launchpad for our first brand store and opened
shop here," said Partha Ghosh, Regional Sales Manager-East India, Logitech.

According to Ghosh, in the last six months Logitech has largely been focusing
on the eastern market with special thrust on Kolkata and has been involved in
large-scale media and marketing activities. "East is the most rapidly
growing market and in the last six months we have grown at a tremendous rate all
across the region. We have developed a good channel base in the region including
IT and CE partners," informed Ghosh.

Of late Logitech has largely been focusing on lifestyle and CE segment and
has launched a range of concept products like the Harmony Universal Remote
control, wireless DJ music system, switchbox, etc. The newly opened Concept
Store has been conceptualized keeping in mind all these products and their
display and demonstration.

"All these products are unique. To understand the technology,
applications, utility and usage, these products needs proper display and
demonstration. This store will act as our demonstration center for customers. We
are appointing quality manpower and are training them so that they can deliver
the job effectively," said Ghosh.

"We also have high-end speakers, gaming devices, headphones which
require demonstration. This is going to be a true experience zone for our
customers," he added.

Meanwhile, Logitech conducted couple of road shows in Kolkata along with
partners like with Berlia Compu Systems and Saboo Computers. Logitech would
conduct similar activities with E-Mart-for-U in Bhubaneswar and Datamation in
Guwahati.

"Kolkata, northeast, Bihar and North Bengal are very promising markets
for our products. We have plans to increase our focus in these markets over the
next six months. We are identifying the right partners and will be appointing
them very soon," Ghosh indicated.
