Macromedia to launch Flash Com Server

Macromedia is soon launching a product which unites communication and

application called the Macromedia Flash Communication Server MX. Revealing this

to DQCI, Shriram Krishnamachari, Country Manager -India, Macromedia says,

"Flash Communication Server MX is a next generation of online

communications software, which can deliver multi-way audio, video, and real-time

data to your web sites and rich Internet applications."

With Flash Com Server, customers can integrate rich communication into their existing

Macromedia Flash applications, "creating communication solutions that would

be difficult or impossible to achieve otherwise," says Shriram.

The product will be shipped immediately after the launch and will be marketed

through Macromedia’s existing channel.

Additionally, Macromedia is conducting seminars on Flash Com in the coming

months. "We would be supporting our distributors and channel partners by

giving them training, collaterals, sales guides, trial software and incentives

for selling Flash Com server," Shriram adds.

The product licenses are available in two editions - Personal and

professional with personal edition costing Rs 25,000 while the professional is

listed at Rs 2,25,000.
