Maxtor signs Almasa as fourth disty

Maxtor Corporation has appointed Almasa as its fourth distributor in India. The Europe-based distributor will be responsible for marketing Maxtor's complete range of client computing, enterprise computing and digital entertainment products in the country. The association will help Maxtor to aggressively promote products through all its distributors, which include Cyberstar, Ingram Micro and
eSys.

Says Yogesh Kamat, Sales Manager, India Subcontinent, Maxtor, "We have created markets for Maxtor with Almasa in different geographies. The synergy between us will create new opportunities for us to increase our marketshare in the Indian market."

Almasa aims to expand its presence in the Asian region and will kick-off its expansion plans from
India with its partnership with Maxtor. 

Says V M Chandrasekar, Almasa, "Our association with Maxtor will help us leverage on our strengths to achieve good results."
