SpamKiller scans each incoming email it reaches the server using a pre-defined set of hundreds of rules to proactively detect and quarantine spam. Additionally, the SpamKiller technology uses a highly accurate scoring system to determine whether a particular email is spam. With the extensive set of rules that run behind SpamKiller, each email receives a positive or negative score to determine its overall spam rating, and once spam is detected, messages are either delivered to the end-users inbox, personal junk mail folder or a system-wide junk folder.

Among other features SpamKiller offers integrity analysis, heuristic detection, content filtering, personalized black and white lists and self-tuning.

In addition to McAfee SpamKiller for Exchange Small Business, Network Associates will also be introducing three additional products. These are: SpamKiller for WebShield appliances, SpamKiller for Lotus Domino and SpamKiller for Exchange.
