McAfee Anti-Spyware Enterprise integrates seamlessly with VirusScan Enterprise 7.1 and 8.0i, adding an essential layer of protection for small to large businesses that need proactive protection from
spyware. The solution utilizes on-access scanning to identify, proactively block and safely eliminate potentially unwanted programs before they can install on the computer system. It scans hard drives, memory, Windows registry and other areas where programs can leave remnants offers traditional on-demand scanning using an extensive database of potentially unwanted programs. The programs include cookies for immediate detection. Removal is managed centrally under a single console with McAfee ePO and
ProtectionPilot. This gives IT and security administrators the visibility and control they need to configure their system security policy, evaluate their security status and customize reports to fit their specific needs.

"In 2003, Gartner warned clients that spyware would be the next wave of costly attacks against PCs and spyware did hit in a big way in 2004," said John
Pescatore, analyst with Garter Inc.
