Micro Village Communications has been appointed as 3Com's Value added distributor in India. It would retain its reseller-based distribution strategy for 3Com products as well.
It will partner with premium resellers and partners having the experience and ability in selling wireless and broadband products for 3Com. Micro Village is also looking to sign up with system integrators and train them in the required technical and sales strategies for distribution of 3Com products.
"By the end of the year, we will have identified the relevant partners and have a distribution network in place," said Sathish Kumar J, Consultant, Micro Village Communications. "As part of our strategy we are also hoping to reach out to service providers and convince them to offer our products along with their service so that the customer gets a viable solution option," he added.
Micro Village is adopting a multiple level approach to reach out to its customer through the resellers. "We believe in 'Distribution with a Solution' for
all our products. In that sense we not only act as a distributor but our sales staff are trained to be able to answer technical queries from customers," said Sathish while indicating that talking to resellers is very important to convince them on product sales as well as for building customer confidence.
“We believe that all our product managers should be updated with the latest technologies as well as the product's know-how. In order to meet that requirement, they have to undertake regular tests in order to check on their knowledge updation so as to enable them to serve the customer better," he added.
