WAN and Wi-Fi solutions provider, Microsense announced its readiness to offer
end-to-end WiMax solutions across the country. Microsense has also developed
flexible authenticaÂtion and billing systems for WiMax network for providing
service to individuals and enterprise.
Pune and Bangalore are the front-runners for providing city-wide broadband
wireless access, launched by the respective government authorities.
Microsense has success-fully completed the RF blueprint for WiMax and metro
Wi-Fi deployment in Pune along with Intel and the Pune Municipal Corporation.
The company has also been short-listed by the government of Karnataka as its top
vendor for Unwire Bangalore initiative, a Microsense statement said.
Kailsanthan, MD, Microsense, said, “WiMax is an extremely important
technology which is expected to have far reaching impact on all aspects of
teleÂcommunications in the future, including data applications, mobile data
applications and mobile voice communications. We have already spent more than a
year in building expertise and applications for this technology. Going forward,
Microsense expects to provide professional services internationally for city
wide networks using WiMax and metro Wi-Fi technologies.”
A pilot project for providing broadband wireless access connecÂtivity has
already been installed in Vikasa Soudha and the multi-storied building complex
in central Bangalore.
