Microsoft lures SMBs with JumpStart scheme

Microsoft Corporation India has announced a special promotion, 'JumpStart' around its Small Business Server 2003 for the end customer. The offer is valid till March 31, 2005. The offer entails winning an APC SmartUPS SUA750 worth Rs 7,500 with SBS Premium Edition and a D-link DES 1008V - 8 port Unmanaged Switch worth Rs 2,750 with SBS Standard Edition. 

Additionally, there is an early bird scheme, wherein for all initial participants, Microsoft offers five incidents of free customer assistance under its 'First Support' program. To avail this offer and redeem gifts, the customer is required to download a claim form and send it along with a copy of his purchase invoice and license numbers to Microsoft. 

Commenting on the ongoing promotion, Microsoft India SMS&P Director, Rajiv Mittal said, "This offer will provide greater functionality and compelling value as they leverage the Windows SBS Server 2003 for managing their day-to-day business processes. Our aim is to provide small businesses a simple solution, which can be deployed without them having a dedicated IT resource"
